2011 X5 LED Corona Bulbs...

I've tried several different types of the white or super white Corona Ring bulbs in my 2010 X5. Most of which were way duller then the stock lights and barely visible during the day. The New LED White 7500k Corona Bulbs in the 2011 X5 look awesome. Does anyone have any idea what the part number might be? Would in work in my 2010 without throwing errors? Thoughts or Comments?

Are you sure the new bulbs are LEDs? The image may have just been enhanced. Most car manufacturers blacken out windows on marketing campaigns to give a cleaner look.

if you look at the brochure and some shots, the base of the headlamps is different than in "pre-facelift" e70's.

I presonally couldn't see the difference. Anyway, how does that translate into knowing they the new bulbs are LEDs? Can anyone confirm that 2011s come with LED Halos?

Ok. I see

I can tell you from experience that when I upgraded the tails of my M3 to OEM LED tails, that I had the get the LCM and instrument cluster reflashed from the dealer to remove the bulb out warning. I expect something similar would need to be done with this.

This will not be a cheap upgrade as I expect the rings will be attached to the headlight housing. Dealer flash was around $150.

Those wheels look nice.

I'm thinking the 2011 ones will be LED rings as opposed to having the rings lit up by a central LED. Would be cool to take a close look.
