Are you sure the new bulbs are LEDs? The image may have just been enhanced. Most car manufacturers blacken out windows on marketing campaigns to give a cleaner look.

if you look at the brochure and some shots, the base of the headlamps is different than in "pre-facelift" e70's.

Ok. I see
I can tell you from experience that when I upgraded the tails of my M3 to OEM LED tails, that I had the get the LCM and instrument cluster reflashed from the dealer to remove the bulb out warning. I expect something similar would need to be done with this. This will not be a cheap upgrade as I expect the rings will be attached to the headlight housing. Dealer flash was around $150. Those wheels look nice.

I'm thinking the 2011 ones will be LED rings as opposed to having the rings lit up by a central LED. Would be cool to take a close look.
