Auto Hold Issues

Just wanting to know if anyone else is/has experienced Auto Hold issues with their E70s

I have a 2008 3.0d, and I have an intermittent issue where the Auto Hold function put itself on Park while stationary. And as typical with most intermittent issues, when taken to the dealer to source the cause, it never happens for them.

There does not seem to be a common theme when it happens. It seems to happen randomly at any given situation (level, downhill or uphill starts etc), and it happens in both "D" and "DS" mode.

When it happens, the only thing that changes is the Auto Hold change to Park. The gear will still remain in either D or DS. And the only time I realise it has happened is when stepping on the accelarator pedal, and all you get is the revving of the engine, warning beeping sound (to step on the break pedal to release the park break) and nothing else. It only occassionally happens so it's not a huge problem, but I'm worried it could lead to bigger problems later on once my X5 is out of warranty.

Has anyone experienced this? What was the cause?
