2011 X5 Parking Brake Malfunction + Recall

After a year and a half of owning my 2011 X5 35i Premium, I started getting an intermittent "Parking Brake Malfunction" along with the Yellow "Park" staying lit on the instrument console. So Tuesday morning, drive to work, no lights or anything, go to leave the office at the end of the day and all kinds of lights, warning messages on the NAV etc... and couldn't even acknowledge them to get them to go away for the drive home.

I take it into the dealer and sure enough error codes all over the place. They then called later in the day and said that they needed to order a "connector" and the part wouldn't be in till Monday, so I'm still driving my 328xi courtesy car.

So while I'm there, the SA starts telling me that there are two recalls, one for an engine compartment water leak....? and one for a software update....?

Anyone else have these done, or know what they are all about? I couldn't find anything doing a search.

I think my 2011 X5 was built in 07/2010 if that helps or matters any...
