Spare with floor liner

Did anybody try to fit a spare tire (the thin one) while having the carpeted trunk floor liner (the one you get when you are on RFT and no spare)? I don't have a spare to measure its exact height, but the area seems large enough to accommodate it.

Yeah, you jsut buy the spare tire kit from getbmwparts.com or other vendor for $300 or so and you've got a spare.

Just to make sure: did you guys remove the carpeted floor liner, to make room for the spare? Or the spare fitted with that carpeted floor liner in place?

Don't forget you need a jack and spanner if it fits. :-)

It all fits without removing the carpet. Just open and drop in the space saver spare with Jack etc... and close the lid. No issues.
