Flicker on Error Free LED Center Front Dome Light on Start?

That about sums it up.

Purchased an interior LED lighting kit for my 2011 X5 35d that was advertised as error-free. When the vehicle starts the center dome light in the front overhead console flashes for about 5 seconds -- very annoying. The rest of the kit is perfect. No luck with a replacement bulb from the kit vendor so can anyone point me in the direction of a canbus-compatible led that wont flicker for just the front dome center bulb? I don't want to replace the whole interior kit just to eliminate this last problem.

Thanks,
Kurt

Ever get past this? I tried v-led brand lights with no luck. I ordered some from ijdmtoys that claim to work, we'll see tomorrow when they come in, I'll report back.

xDive50,

No, unfortunately I never did find a fix for this. Please let me know if the ijdmtoys led lights work. I'll replace mine in a heartbeat.

The Ziza LED kits have been getting great reviews from my E70 guys. None of them are reporting flicking or bulb errors back to me. I have the Ziza interior LED kits available HERE for the E70.

This kit looks great, by why in the world would you leave the rear maps out? It's only 2 more bulbs and you would have a complete kit. This would irk me to no end if I were to purchase this kit. Do you have the option of getting the additional bulbs to complete the set?

Those MAP lights cause a problem for many LEDs. Currently Ziza is working to 'complete' the kit with rear map lights which properly work (no flickering, etc)

Funny, my problem is with the front center dome light and the rear right and left side dome lights. The map lights all work correctly. From what I understand, most people have a problem with the same dome lights as I.

My problem is that the only led light that flickers is the center console light at startup. I don't want to invest again for a whole interior kit to address that one bulb.

Whet LED bulbs are you currently using? My domes are ok with the car off and the door open. It doesn't flicker unless the car is on and then a door is open. Then it randomly cuts in and out. My rear domes do this as well. Its like a freaking light show when someone opens a door!

Hey kdub, I'm thrilled to let you know my new LEDs don't flicker. I will drive around a few days just to make sure for certain, but so far so good.

Here is what worked...
