Not to unsettle you, but if there is an underlying issue with the charging system (or a parasitic discharge) a new battery just masks it for a while.... If you get issues back, and this was a bmwdealer, make sure you press the case that THIS battery was killed by their failur to disgnose

Haven't left your Nav DVD disc in the player have you, they keep spinning even when the vehicle is turned off?

PS. my old M-sport 35d draws .75 of a amp even when the car was turned off, the battery would last around 3-4 days depending if I openned a door as the interior lights would come on, same if I openned the rear hatch.

Supposedly they tested for parasitic decharge (I specifically made mention of checking the comfort access modules). We'll see how it goes, there is definetly a difference in how the car "feels" with the new battery though.

If your leaving the X5 sit for a few days it would be wise to run a trickle charge to it, they draw a fair bit of power standing still and there not much you can do about that.

I found that even my iPod connected to the USB was drawing power to keep it charged, I known its not much but it all adds up to nearly 1amp.
