Front end knocking suspension and bluetooth connection fixed

I found a few posts talking about these issues:

Active stabilizer sport package with 20 inch wheels
Car makes unpleasant shallow /hollow knocking noises over small bumps. Sound comes from the front end on both sides and you can slightly feel it in the steering wheel. Took it to the dealer several times but they could "never hear anything." We even drove back to back trucks and I thought I heard it in both but mine was just louder. I was finally able to get my SA to hear it and they followed the SIB 370107. (I came in and showed them this) I got the call that they were replacing my bar and now it sounds like a BMW should up front. Nice and tight.

Bluetooth wont connect or will forget last paired phones and only work occasionally. Permanent TCU failure ...replaced. I complained about this several times as well but it always worked after they touched it. They replaced the TCU this time.

So far so good! I hope this helps someone.

Do you mean by active stabilizer "Adaptive Drive" on my 2008 E70 Sport had this problem, it was not until they disconnected the active swaybar that they found a fair amount of play in it which resulted in the clunking.

Unless they disconnect the swaybar they won't find it while its under load, what you are looking for is excessive freeplay.

I believe there is an updated front active sway developed mid 2008 which was put into mine.

Yeah they removed a fuse and the noise quit so they knew to change the bar. I believe the new one doesn't have relief valves etc ...
They had to remove a lot of the front end to get it out as well. Thank goodness for warranty!

Glad you got it sorted, I think there will be quite a few X5's running around with the old version swaybars.
