Thumbs up What's the most miles you ever drove a car in a year?

I think that I just set a new personal record for annual miles in a year for one car. I bought my 2011 X5 35d last July 9th and today I am at 30,850 miles. I'm glad it's a diesel! No big problems. Need to get a rattle fixed at next service that's all! Share your record!

You beat me, I did about 26,600klm in the first 12 months, and a total of 73,000klm in 35 months when I sold the previous X5 35d.

55,000 km. Equals 34,375 miles. More than half that was on unpaved roads. Ambient temperatures from +30C to -42C. Ford Explorer, in the mid nineties. Truck was new, but not after a year. Finished up with driving the length of the Alaska Highway, 7000 km to Anchorage and back, and then sold it and bought another.

Hope your not doing that in your 4.8i?

Ps. What about the lowest, I had a BMW 850ci 6 speed manual, owned it for 9 years from new, done a total of 14,000klms when I sold it.

Averaged 1,800 miles per months since October when I bought it. At 17,000 now. But with increased miles over summer due to camp trips, etc, probably going to be 25K by October of this year.

It's not even my commuter car (I have a Corolla for that). Average about 18K per year on that one just for work (job 35 miles away).
Yet somehow I manage to drive more miles on X5.
Sometimes makes me feel that odometer is screwed up.

I find I'm always taking the long way home or going for a drive because I love being in it so much

First post - be gentle!

Had a 3.0d M Sport some years ago and put 28,000 miles on that and then traded it for a 4.8iS and in the 11 months I had it put on 36,000 miles.

To say I was on first name terms with my local filling station would be an understatement!

Have a '12 30D M Sport now (wife's car) and not planning on anything near that!
