55 HP increase

Got it:

90 Nm = 66 lb-ft

101 lb-ft = 137 Nm

X5FX, just called Dinan again. The Dinan tech reiterated what I was told couple of weeks ago. The Stage 2 tune is NOT available for the 2013 X5 35i. They have not tested it on the 2013 X5s 35i yet. He said you can try to download the software on a 2013 X5 35i, but Dinan can't guarantee it will work properly.

Congrats on the X5. Mine should be delivered anyday now and I am anxiously awaiting it. I ordered the premium sound package, convienience pack, cw pack and M sport package. I also ordered the Carbon Black with saddlebrown leather.

Looking at your X5 increases my anticipation. I will have to wait out the Dinan tune due to buying winter tires and rims and a few other small items. Have fun with it!

yea, they seem to be very dysfunctional, I've emailed 4 times now and received 4 different answers.

shouldn't the 2012 and 2013 be the same?

Finn, I wanted a more colorful option for leather, but for luxury seating with built in cooling fans, only black and beige perforated leather was available. Your leather should look great with your X5. Did you get the AD?

X5FX, apparently the 2012 and 2013 X5 have some differences in the engine software management code. So far, I've gotten consistent answers from Dinan and Dinan BMW dealer.

Nice review. As a big fan of AD, I find it to be very challenging to explain what it does. One comment I've made is that the car 'drives smaller'....

Brave man to buy black....

I did not order the Adaptive Drive. I guess I didn't understand its capability when I was ordering; I just saw the $3150 price increase. I am a huge fan of the cinnimon / brown leather option as I have it in my wife's 128 convertible.

I never drove both suspension options before purchasing so I guess I won't know what I am missing.
