Welcome, there is plenty of info here.
Looking at a new or used E70 X5? And a diesel, good choice, I think the UK has the 30d, 40d & M50d to choose from, also M-Sport or standard models. If your looking for a family X5 and not towing anything large then the 30d is a good start, you then have to decide what options you want in it, good luck!

Hi, thanks. Used probably, but I'm lookin' at a new one tomorrow, need to price it up. Be a 3.0d probably M Sport but I'll see what's around.
Plenty of black ones... |

I'm after one with Park Heating and a heated wheel. Had these features in the Range Rover, fabulous in winter. Toasty cabin in the morning. Very rare on X5s, available on new ones to order but according to the dealers, rarely selected.

Hi A1GSS. I'm a Brit living in Canada since late 2009. In UK had an E53 3.0i, over here I have aE70 35d. Love the heated steering wheel but funnily enough the diesel park heating wasn't even an Option. In Canada!
When its realy cold the car overnights in the garage - never seems to get below about 4Celcius and it warms up pretty quickly. Runs rougher in the cold though. Good luck with the search! Peter T |
