Exhaust Pressure Sensor Service Campaign

Does anyone know what this is all about. BMW wants to replace the part number 13628507632 Exhaust Pipe with Sensor and part number 13628573888 - Sensor Holder.

Its somewhere near the last turbo as it joins the exhaust system, a small tube with a pressure sensor attached?

Around the diesel particulate filter there is pressure sensor or two to aid in determining when the collected particulates needs to be burned out. The sensors are quite essential to the emissions system health and performance which would dictate BMW would need to be quite serious about fixing an issue. My guess would be BMW has found a faulty part that could cause an emissions issue.

Cheers,
Rob
