2010 X35d Hard Shifts
Within the last couple months, my wife's X has been shifting hard from 1-2 and 2-3. There haven't been any changes in her driving habits (unfortunately
) and no additional drivers. I reset the feature that "learns" one's driving style (can't remember the official name). I'm not sure that calling it a hard shift is accurate as it is not clunky, it is more of a lurching feeling - smooth but abrupt if that makes any sense. Anyhow, I searched a bit and didn't see anything, hence the post. Any ideas out there? |

There is a software fix for this at the dealer. I don't have the Service Bulletin #, etc on it but just check with your SA.

Not sure about the 8-speed AT, but the 6-speed doesn't start from 1st gear when it's in D. It starts from 2nd unless it's in D/S mode or you use the kickdown, in which case it starts from 1st gear but never goes up to the final gear.
