My new Titanium 50i arrived. Love it.

My former daily was a 2010 X5///M.

Loved it for awhile, then tired of the rough handling. Power was great, but lost on me as I really only drive the X in the rain, snow and/or with the family on-board.

I was considering a brand change, then drove the 50i with Adaptive Drive. Loved it... Much, much better ride IMO in both comfort and sport mode than my ///M, so I ordered this M sport/M Performance version. 8 speed trans is a nice improvement, as-are the comfort seats. No cheapo 'carbon leather' option, so I went bamboo. I'll post pics of the interior later.

The BMW cross rails are adequate, but whistle above 70mph. For me, not a big deal as they will be on the X maybe two times a year.

So far, I love it. I don't love the dealer hack trailer hitch install, but it's nice to have a hitch again.

Yes. I picked it up Friday Sept 14th. I'm getting used to it. It's the same, yet different. The speed sensitive steering is the biggest issue for me. Me no like...

I've been trying to keep it under 4500 rpms so I haven't really had fun with the power yet.

Nice combination! Black/bamboo interior?

I see you opted for the performance pack. Never hurts to have a few extra HP. The M sport exhaust has a nice rumble, particularly in the mid range.

Enjoy

Can't blame you on the hitch.
Nice to have, but what an awful job !
BTW: I have the same hitch, with the same wide cut in the bumper to accomodate a hitch much smaller than the opening.

And I also have the Comfort Seat, best option so far for me !

Yes, black/bamboo interior. I like it. Also like the sound. Deeper than my former ///M.

Re the hitch cutout - my dealer will be correcting the / cut on the pass-side.

That said, the fault is completely with BMW. Their unwillingness/inability to engineer an elegant hitch solution for the X5 is laughable.

A symmetrical cut for the hitch will look better. Would be nice if the cutout was limited to the black baffle, but agree that would require some more elegant engineering.
