2010 35d + iPhone 5, how do I get my Pandora to play?
I have the old smart phone integration with the Y cable, no joy. I also bought male to male aux cable and still no joy? I want my Pandora!!!

This worked on my 2010 M5. Might work in your X5.
Plug in the Y adapter to the phone and the 3.5 and USB to the car, select Aux input and start playing music from your iTunes collection. Once it starts playing from your collection hit the home button on the phone and then select Pandora. Push play. It should now start playing Pandora instead of your music collection. When I first started using this work around it worked until I tried to skip using the steering wheel buttons, then it would revert to my playlist. Later software updates fixed this along with the display of current playback. Good Luck.

The above described does work. My suggestion was for streaming Pandora wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Well i tried just now and no still no dice for me...
Since the Y cable is not for my iPhone 5, i bought the Lightning to 30 pin adapter. So my connection is iPhone5->adapter->Ycable->aux+usb. When I do that, i cant select aux input, just the phone itself only. I can only play songs on my Iphone using iDrive, screen on my phone just says Accesory Connected. Plus, i can see the song list on Idrive screen and play the songs but no sound is coming out of the speakers. Any idea?
