Question Problem: iDrive controller won't scroll

The iDrive controller normally responds to:
1. move (in 4 directions)
2. turn (e.g. scrolling)
3. press

Mine has just stopped responding to the "turn"! If I select any menu (Navigation, Climate, etc.), it just stays on the first option and will not scroll. It rotates but nothing happens on the display; it just stays on the first option. The iDrive controller "feels" like it should be working. Both the "move" and "press" functions are still working.

Any ideas appreciated. Otherwise, I guess I'm going to dealer next week. Unfortunately, I have to go out in the snow storm that is in the forecast for tomorrow.

Coding gone wrong?

If you feel adventurous, you can try getting it out and cleaning with a contact cleaner.

Yep, I suspected the coding; I should have mentioned in my earlier post.

Woke at 5:00am. Decided to reset the CAPPL module. Then my iDrive controller started working normally again. Recoded changes to CAPPL module (the most important of which is the "Remove iDrive Warning"...

So this thread is done...
