oil service after 7k miles?

I changed the oil/filter at 54k and reset the service indicator.

now at 51k oil service is due again.

can lots of short trips (5-20 miles) trigger oil service in 7k miles?

Not in my experience.

Did you reset a mileage indicator or a time indicator?

could it be that one was the Inspection and the other one is the Oil?

sorry, I made a typo.

the oil service indicator is red at 61k miles. last oil service was about 54k miles.

we bought the vehicle with 48k miles.

All I remember is that the service screen with a list (oil, spark plug, filter, etc.) had a RED status for 'oil'. the estimated date was not what tripped the reminder.

I'm going to log the mileage and date and see how long it takes till the next one.
