Question about 2009 Sport Package

I sold my 2006 fully loaded X5 & am looking into purchasing another one & there is one that has caught my eye. But it doesn't have sports package but otherwise fully loaded & wondered what exactly sport package gives you? & would you buy one without it?

Thanks for your input & look forward to hearing your opinions.

Anthracite headliner, shadowline trim, sport seats, adaptive drive, sports steering wheel. Sport 19" wheels as well. Would I buy one without it? No, cuz I like the shadowline trim, anthracite headliner and adaptive drive. I upgrade my steering wheel to an M sport version cuz its thicker. Granted, I didn't have to buy a separate airbag since its the same as the sport version. I personally don't like the sport seats. I specifically looked for a car with comfort seats.

My guess is the owner wanted non-sport for the 18" wheels, which he could use chains on, for his Tahoe/mtn ski trips.

Hold on guys

Sport PACKAGE in **2009** includes ADAPTIVE DRIVE.

It was reconfigured in 2010+ to be a BS 'appearance' package and called "sport Activity Package"

A 2009 with Sport is a car with Adaptive Drive.

So why buy a 2009 without sport? Saves $6500 MSRP. (or thereabouts)

The sport package was a ~$3500 back then. If it were $6500 I would've skipped it too.

Wait, what? I thought it was just the 2007s that included AD in the sport package? Or did the price go up after 2007 but AD was still included in SP?

Indeed, I had it all mixed up.

It was 3700 in 2009 and included AD

Then in 2010 you needed sport plus 2VA to get the equivalent features: 2200+3500=5700

It was a 'hidden' price increase, at least for me, when I passed up the 2009 and ordered a 2010....
