Pirelli Scorpion Snow and Ice tires

Here to give a huge to the Pirelli Scorpions.

Received about 14" in KC yesterday (blizzard like conditions for much of the morning) with AWD cars/trucks getting stuck all over the place.

The Pirellis just powered through. Never even saw my yellow traction control light up.

Ended up driving a buddy home from work and he said "it's no fun. This car isn't sliding at all!"

Gave him a ride back to work this morning and there were still several intersections that were full of snow and we just plowed right through.

Fantastic.

They are the 20" staggered tires. Couldn't be happier.

We don't get a lot of snow here but very nice to not have to worry when you see snow in the forecast.

I have the same set up except non staggered 20s. Love the pirellis. I always feel safe driving through the snow in them.. I find myself wishing for some powder to plow through.

Cavman,

Good to hear. I have the 20" staggered Pirelli's but haven't had enough snow to really test them yet (I want to see if they are noticeably different/worse than the 18" snows that I had before).

I have just completed a 2,000+ mile roadtrip and these tires were great at speed and low temperatures. I was sure that my vehicle had the 'best grip on the road' out there.

That is good to hear! I have the 19" staggered set up, but we've only gotten a total of 4" of snow so far this year. I haven't really been able to test the Pirellis yet.

More snow in KC. Even better test for the Pirellis

Another snowstorm here today. Probably 10-12" and this snow is heavy and wet.

The Pirellis were even better today.

The snow plows hadn't done much and there was probably 6"+ on the roads as I drove to work this morning.

Never slipped once. Traction control light never came on and I actually had to drive around a snowplow truck that had gotten stuck. Unreal. It was like a commercial for xDrive/Pirelli.

And in one instance, the snow plows must have turned left leaving a 6-8" high wall of snow right in the middle of the road. The X5 just calmly drove through the line of snow.

The combination of xDrive, the ground clearance and great snow tires is a winning combination.

for Pirelli, BMW xDrive and the X5!
