Burger Tuning N55 Stage 1 Tune - 2011 X5 3.5i
I only got a chance to take her out for a quick drive, but WOW. There is no turbo lag and the extra torque down low is very noticeable. As soon as you step on the gas, the X just moves forward. Granted, it's not as fast as the M3, but the drive-ability is definitely improved. The throttle response (aside from the slow auto tranny) is comparable to the E46 M3 which has six individual throttle bodies and is infamous for great throttle response. After a few miles, I switched over to manual shifting. Up high, the engine really screams and it's definitely faster when the revs are high. Overall, it's an excellent mod especially for the price. The install isn't too bad, and I will create a more detailed install doc with a long term review. Last edited by macming; 12-18-2012 at 11:29 PM. |

I had to take the piggyback off the car due to the fact the car was due for inspection I, an oil change and a new alarm module. All in all, I drove around with the X5 is stock mode for a few weeks. Immediately, it felt the car lacked a lot of power in all the gears. Today, I re-installed the piggyback. WOW, it's amazing what the difference is.
The engine just feel so much more responsive without the turbo lag! Over the last few months, I've never had a check engine light, and the fuel consumption wasn't really any higher. Overall, I'll have to give this mod a full 5 stars. To everyone that is on the fence, this is really good value for your money. The extra torque is very noticeable, and compared to modifying the M3 for power, $400 is a bargain to get 30 HP and 50 FT/LBs of torque ![]() Last edited by macming; 04-15-2013 at 11:13 PM. |

Ok, I ordered it last Thursday and installed it today and two things, the directions suck donkey balls and the power is nice, the way it should have come. Install is very easy, about 30 minutes from start to finish (including gathering the tools). If anyone is interested I can create better directions for your install.
