Parking sensor retrofit

Search turns up nothing, sooo....

Anyone know anything about retrofitting parking sensors?

09 E70, 3.0 gas, no nav.

I got the car this way, because I never needed them, however now I might be relocating somewhere where parking is a much more complicated affair than here in North America, and I don't trust my skills enough

some E53s were prewired for PDC in the front and the rear was offered as a factory retrofit that integrated the front... you still would need to either drill or replace the bumper covers, get the relays/fuses, sensors, correct front module (A169), speaker... but the wiring was in place...

maybe something like that is available for E70...

Get a Laser Interceptor... Part laser jammer, part PDC...

Laser Interceptor - The Ultimate Laser Jammer - Official Website - Exclusive Factory Authorized Distributor to The USA and Canada - Home

I am in no way affiliated with this site... just thought of it as an alternative for you.

Interesting... The only question would be if the actual jammer function can be turned off, as it's illegal both where I am now and where I may be going

That would be neat... Now just need to figure out if it's there

To answer my own question and close the thread, yes, it is possible. With a ridiculous price tag, I must say, if going the original BMW route - around $1,500 on eBay... Aftermarket, here I come - $25
