Which bulb type to change front turn signal?

I'm looking to change the amber front turn signal bulbs in my 2009
X5 to stealth/chrome bulbs that blink amber. When I shined a flashlight
on the housing I could see "PY214" or something like that.

Does anyone know which vendor has these chrome bulbs? And of course,
which bulb type should I buy?

Thanks in advance.

check the realoem for the matching EURO counterpart to your car, and check to see if there OE silver bulb available... go to real oem, and at the point where it is asking for US or Euro, select euro, and then continue as if for your specific car... then, the euro part numbers will be visible in the parts diagrams.

I got my OE silver bulb for E39 from a dealer in France, as 10 years ago the US dealers did not offer euro parts, even if i had the part number...

The bulb is a PY24W and is not a common bulb type that you can just buy anywhere.

It is also smaller in diameter than other turn signal bulbs, so many of your stealth bulbs won't fit through the smaller diameter hole. I used white SMD LEDs that fit through the smaller opening and it worked out great. No warning lights and no resistors on it.

I also upgraded my HIDs to 6K D1S bulbs and LED H11's for fogs and LED H8 Angel Eyes. FOGs are throwing codes but I am having that coded out so I don't have to run resistors. I also have a set of GP thunder 7500k for the fogs too just in case. They are white with a very very faint blue color. It matches well. Tested out enough bulbs lately. Lol

Thanks for all the replies. Bimmian does not offer stealth bulbs- when I click
add to cart it says the bulbs are unavailable.

I looked on realoem and found the silver bulb part #. The pics I saw made the
bulb look a little orange. So I'm not too fond of that look.

Final resort looks to be an LED bulb that flashes amber. Hey Alpine, can you share with us where you bought your LEDs for the turn signals from?

Thanks!

I decided to go with the OEM stealth bulbs. $40 for the pair. I'll get them installed in a couple of weeks.

Stay tuned for pics.
