I didn't think there was much room for them to slide around
mine came with the Velcro fasteners but I haven't felt the need to use them.

I just bought mine for the X5...They were the weathertec liner models. They fasten via the hooks that screw on where the OEM carpet mats go. Mine are great and do not slide around. They hold water better and have much better coverage than the Rubber OEM mats I used to have. I think the two minor complaints is that they are hard plastic and can be slippery and do not go as high up on the front foot well as the rubber mats.

They were on my 2007 X5. the lease ended in 2009.
