I know my wife's E90 was a 5 minute job, hopefully the X is too.
It's very easy, just a couple clips to depress and push the grill out. I used my fingers to depress the clips, I think a couple yuppies posted they needed pliers to depress them

Almost the same as the E90. Just the clips. Nothing major to look out for.

Some guys have used plastidip to black out their OEM kidneys and if they don't like it anymore they just remove the rubberized material. It's easy to remove.

Hell people are plastidipping their wheels now too. Not sure about that. The grills I can see and its not permanent.

I like my chrome at the moment.
