e39 wheels on e70

Question, e39 wheels on e70
Will they fit?

X5 E70 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 74.0mm and M14x1.25 bolt thread. ET 37-53
5 Series E39 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 74.1mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. ET 15-25

I've got 18 inch rims off e39 lying around, ac schnitzer type III 18x8.5 et 15.
I'm thinking, is this possible to fit these onto x5 e70 with some minor machining(or even without)?

i've got four 15mm spacers as well, probably only thing needed to fit e39 rims with spacers on e70, is custom extended m14x25 bolts

They may fit size wise, but not load wise.

I run a set of staggered discontnued Envy wheels that are only load rated to 680kg. These are fine for everything but towing while the X is loaded. I swap the OE wheels/tires on when I load/tow.

The advantage to lower load rated rims is the reduced unsprung weight, a 19x9.5/285 W speed rated Hankook Ventus rear weighs under 50 lbs. I have a set of KX Var3 coilovers going on soon, with any drop over 1" unsprung weight is critical toward maintaining driveability.

With et15 they will stick out from the fenders quite a bit. Putting 15mm spacers will make it worse.
