Center Console Rattle (not a coin)

Hi all. My 4.8 center console has a serious rattle coming out of it. Its no coin, I can feel it vibrate. The rattle is speed related, although using the accelerator does make it louder. The higher the spped, the faster the rattle. The dash itself doesn't vibrate, and I've pulled disks and turned off the AC. And, it is progressively getting worse.

She's an 08, no warranty. What under there could do this?

Engine and/or transmission mounts? Just spit balling. Do you feel this vibration anywhere else in the vehicle? Only while stopped/parked, or also while driving? Does it very with ground speed or engine RPM? While braking or not braking, or does that not matter?

Its definitely ground speed. I have shifted gears, and the rate of rattle remains the same. The higher the speed, the higher the rattle rate. The more load "gas" I give the car, the louder the rattle, but rattle rate remains the same. Does not happen at all below 30 mph. Braking does not affect it. I cannot feel the vibration anywhere else.

This rattle is loud enough, where the radio has to be very loud to drown it out. I cannot detect any change in driveability.

Maybe it's something near/on/to do with your drive shaft? Or transfer case mounts/bushings? Not very familiar with the underbelly of these vehicles, since I have warranty...but that will be over in August. I better get started.

Yeah, gonna dust off the ole laptop and fire up TIS tonight. See if they have diagrams of what's underneath there, and run their vibration diagnosis.
