2008 X5 bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

Hi,

I'm a new owner of the 2008 X5. I have successfully paired my Nokia 920 (Windows Phone) with the X5. After a couple of days, the phone does not connect well with the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth successfully connects for a minute, then disconnects. Reconnects again and then disconnects again. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue? Any suggestions to resolve this since I depend on the Bluetooth quite a bit.

thx

I would definitely make sure it is not your phone first. I had a lot of trouble with my previous LG smart phone staying paired.

First try another phone with the X5, then try another vehicle/device with your phone, then report back.

also, even on other cars I find that I can't leave bluetooth on on my phone and expect it to work again the next time I get in the car. Need to flip BT on the phone off and then on again. Very touchy.

thank you guys for the pointers. I tested the Bluetooth module with another phone and it worked out fine. Then I did some research online to find that my phone needed a firmware update or is update that had the fix to this problem. After doing that update, the Bluetooth connection seems to be working well.

thanks again for all the pointers.
