Comfort/sport seats question

I'm getting into an x5 this week. It's a 4.8 but appears to be the base 4.8 with no sunroof or sport/comfort seats.. I'm looking to put a set of sport seats in it within a few days after buying.. Are any other seats compatible with this year truck like 5 6 7 series sport seats? It would make it alot easier to find... Thanks

In the end, maybe you can find a used X5 with the features you want at the same cost or cheaper than you will spend replacing the seats with good used seats. I found my used X5 by being patient...took me about 5 weeks, but the one I eventually found spoke to me. Truly loaded 2008 4.8i with exception of HUD, 65k miles, $27k

just wait for the car that you want, not for the car that is offered to you..

unless it is a daily beater you will use just to get you around for $200...

OP is in for a big surprise if he buys the car and assumes he can just 'toss in' new seats....

cant wait to hear how that goes.

(In thousands of posts Ive never read of someone succeeding.)

E70 4.8 - is it 4.8si? it is a V-8 model, that should have a number of features as standard, and most US spec'd BMWs, MBs and other luxuries come in the states with a minimal package, like the HID lights on V-8, leather power seats, a sunroof (unless it was specifically deleted by original order)... if the roof was deleted, and the car lacks some other "standard" features, the Original Owner may have raced the car and tried to shed extra weight... if the car was raced, God knows what may be wrong with it in the long run...

what is the VIN of the car?

Raced an X5?????? Maybe they had the sunroof/moon roof deleted because they don't like them. I've had the sunroof/moon roof deleted on nearly every BMW that I've owned (..the exceptions being the 06' 330i and my 13' X5; all of my M3's had the moon roofs deleted as well, and it wasn't because I wanted to race them. I'm just not the fond of them and I never use them.).

people do race the X5... actually, people race even bathtubs too...

and a guess that a sunroof delete was due to lose some weight is not out of oridinary for somebody who wants to race their car... as well as to gain extra headroom...

and like any guess, it is just a speculation... but knowing the packages destined for the US market, it is unusual for a V8 to not have a sunroof...

Yep, the VIN will tell all. Post the last seven digits.

Is it an '07? The moonroof wasn't even part of a package back then I don't believe. I think they threw it into premium for '08.
