Question Purchasing a 2011 X5, need pointers

Hi Xoutpost,

I am looking into purchasing a 2011 X5 for my family, and needed some pointers in what to look for.

I did some digging, but could not find much information on when the LED Coronas (Angel Eyes) were rolled out into production. From reading some of the post on the internet, I found that some guys mentioned that April and later build dates had the updated lights.

Any input would be much appreciated, in regards to what I need to look for.

I have seen the 2011 X5's come with silver vertical slat kidney grills and some with black slat grills. Is this an indication of the later builds with the silver grills?

Any other information regarding what to avoid with the 2011's would also be great.

Thanks everyone in advance, and I hope to contribute back to this community in the near future.

Cheers!
