Options for roof rails

Hi All,

I bought a 2010 e70 3.0 awhile back and it didn't come with roof rails or a trailer hitch.
That being said i installed a e-trailer hitch which is working perfectly ( Thanks to this board), but now I want to use a roof top box I had with my E53.

Are there any aftermarket roof rails out there that anyone knows of or Has anyone installed the roof rails after the fact?

I am just trying to figure out my options..

Do you mean the rails themselves (front to back) or the crossbars?

If you don't have rails, you can purchase them and either install them yourself or have a shop do it. It's an ordeal. The headliner has to be dropped to get to the bolts.

How come you don't have rails? I thought the X5M was the only one where it was optional.

I mean the rails themselves. As far as coming with the rails or not this one didn't have any installed I think it is an option when you order new, but i bought second hand so i am not sure.

Thanks for the headliner Link. If the headliner is as bad as replacing the water pump, i might have a shop do it.

I need crossbars for the low profile 'M' rails. Not having much luck getting a definite hit.

I've seen X5s without rails from the factory here in Canada, so it must have been an option. IIRC, it was a $100 option here
