I bought a 2010 e70 3.0 awhile back and it didn't come with roof rails or a trailer hitch. That being said i installed a e-trailer hitch which is working perfectly ( Thanks to this board), but now I want to use a roof top box I had with my E53. Are there any aftermarket roof rails out there that anyone knows of or Has anyone installed the roof rails after the fact? I am just trying to figure out my options.. Thanks

Do you mean the rails themselves (front to back) or the crossbars?
If you don't have rails, you can purchase them and either install them yourself or have a shop do it. It's an ordeal. The headliner has to be dropped to get to the bolts. How come you don't have rails? I thought the X5M was the only one where it was optional. Here is the DIY: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...stall-diy.html |

Thanks for the headliner Link. If the headliner is as bad as replacing the water pump, i might have a shop do it. I will check out the link Thanks! |

I need crossbars for the low profile 'M' rails. Not having much luck getting a definite hit.
