PDC Paint Peeling - Restore with Paint?
Hello gents. The paint is cracking & peeling on half of my PDC sensors. Looks terrible. Wondering if anyone has repainted them or touched them up with touch up paint. Or if anyone has re sprayed them... or even rattle can'd em?
Tonight I am applying a few coats of Plasti Dip in black and will then see if it holds up. Thoughts? ![]()

I am curious about this as well. I am hesitant to paint them for concern that the paint may interfere with the sensor function

You can remove the sensors from the bumper for painting, you'd have to take the bumper off since they release from the rear.

If you have warranty left they should change them out for you. It happened on my '07 when I had it.

No warrantee. The plasti dip did work ok. Its tougher to apply than painting due to the plastic peeling nature of the dip. Also very tough to mask these off. Pulling them and painting them is probably the best option. All sensors are still working perfectly though so it seems as if the small coating does not affect them.
