Oil filter housing gasket replacement

Hi all,

I've got an 08, 4.8i that they say is leaking oil from the oil filter housing(?) Reading on here it sounds like it may be the alternator bracket instead?

The garage say that they would usually do the valve cover gaskets (and another one other I can't remember) at the same time.

I can't seem to find a downloadable service manual anywhere?

Is there a DIY guide somewhere I can use, and also what else should I look at doing at the same time? (it's done 175,000 kms)

It's already had the following done: front end steering tie rods / bushes etc, brake booster, alternator, battery, water pump, belts, tensioner, rotors and pads and rear air suspension bags, vac pump and park brake hydraulic actuator.

If not, has anyone some screen shots from the relevant section of the manual?
