Transmission Pan/Filter
Do they come separate or do I have to buy both together? They only come together here: 2009 BMW X5 Filter I kinda don't want to buy another pan together with a new filter if I can use the one that's already there. Just replenished fluid/replaced filter in my E53, filter/pan were separate here, so it was a lot cheaper to do.

Looks like the pan and filter go together. I checked through all my accounts and seems like you cant get them separately.

The filter is part of the pan. Pan is plastic so you should replace it since they leak quite often. Suggest to replace pan, sealing sleeve for electrical connector and mechatronics seal above valve body. Put 6 liters of ZF lifeguard 6 in.

Not 100% sure, but I believe you can get them separatelly, and non-bmw branded ZF pan and filter are like half the price.
