Any coding experts want to do some remote coding on my X5?

I have a laptop setup for coding and have successfully coded a lot of different things on it using NCSExpert so I know the setup works but I just recently installed the OEM trailer hitch wiring harness and module and can't get it to work.

I have added the +AHMU module to the VO but when I try to process car it fails with some warning about missing files. Not sure if there's a newer different daten file needed or what. I'm pretty sure I could figure this out but since I will never need to do this again I'd rather just pay someone to do it.

Same issue here, need a remote coder, except I have't gotten NCSExpert installed yet... I do have a Bavarian Technic Cable.

Quotes from others...

Type in "X5 Hitch Programming" into the search field and you get precisely SIXTEEN threads in the X5 E70 Forum

1. Cable can be bought from ebay, programs you have to download them, look it with google
2. When you program your Hitch you must modify the FA, Which means that you have to modify the list of features that comes in your car originally, it not so hard but you really need to know what you are doing before trying to do something, You have a lot to read. go to bmwcoding.com
3. Nothing will happen if you connect the whole wiring, AHM (this is the module name) in your car, won't do something until programmed

+AHMU to the FA, write to CAS and FRM with FA_write (something like that) as the job (will try to find other docs...)
That did it - I added AHMU in VO for CAS and FRM, processed car, and then opened AHMU to see that it was in US, and it was, and the brake lights light up now! Awesome!

While I was at it, I added digital speed readout in KMBI, comfort closing with remote, and as soon as I see where it is, I'll add the removal of the lawyers 'accept' statement on the NAV, plus fold those mirrors when locked!

Quote#2:

I did it.
- You need to add +AHMU to the vehicle order in both CAS and FRM.
- Once you do that you need to update the proper modules. I couldn't find anything conclusive on which modules to code so I chose "Process Car" which wreaked havoc on my car the first time I did it so use this method at your own risk. It processes all modules in sequence and kept failing on me at some point in the process. I kept trying and it eventually worked though.

I did read somewhere that these are the modules that need to be updated but I'm not entirely sure.
- FRM (Footwell module)
- PDC (park distance control)
- JBE (Junction box electronics)
The trouble is that hitch coding is not something that you can easily confirm worked. You may get the backup camera zoom and PDC functioning properly, but there's no easy way to know if you have the sway control logic working.

So I have done this without it working but what do you mean by "update modules" exactly?
Tks
