Pre-LCI front clear reflector for 2008 3.0si

I want to change out front amber reflectors for clear ones in 2008 3.0si X5. I cant find a good installation guide with pics. Anybody have any good suggestions? Thank you

You need to remove the fender liner to get access to them. They're attached to the bumper with sticky double sided tape. Essentially you would push the reflector inwards from the outside while holding it on the inside to prevent it from falling into your bumper.

Here's the original thread I used, but bear in mind the 3.0si is the same on both sides as I recall. The 4.8i had something in the way on the driver's side which is described. Even though the pics are gone, you can still use the text to guide you.

Here's my quick and dirty:
- below the fog light, remove the faux (plastic) diffuser by pulling on the silver horizontal piece (see attached pic) so that you have access to reach the reflector from the inside.
- use a hairdryer to melt the glue of the tape on the reflector edges
- from the outside, push in and it will eventually come off
- clean up residue before putting in the new one.

As the DIY thread states, the glue is pretty tough, so you may have to work on it a while.

Thank you for your reply, I am not too keen on tackling this job without pics. Is there anybody out there from internet-land that has a pic tutorial? I am not all that mechanically sophisticated.
