You mean the button on the key fob to open the liftgate?

BMW says malfunctions like this can be as a result of "local radio waves".

Does your other key fob do this?

Does it do this when you're parked in a different location?

I wonder if your key fob battery is discharged. A long drive might help.

Thanks Brian5 for your feedback, I just went outside to use the other key fob and the alarm works now. Lets see if this does the trick in the long run.
Thanks again!! Sam

Well after a few days of using the of the two key fob, the alarm is going crazy again as soon as I press the lock button. Is there a sensor somewhere? Is there a battery I can replaced on the alarm?

Thanks, Sam

I had the same issue when I purchased my car. I searched this forum and there was a Service Bulletin for a Sensor ceiling center console.

"Ultrasonic Passenger Compartment Motion Detector Triggers False Alarm"

Not sure on that front as I had mines done before my warranty expired. Give it a try I guess and see what they say.

After a couple months after my post, the alarm cured itself. Now the only problem is when I press the alarm on or off, it doesn't beep. I adjust the idrive menu, still nothing, no beeps!! Could it be my alarm horn?? Anyone ever change this?? Is it hard??

Thanks, Sam
