overheating!

2007 E70 X5 3.0SI

So I was in the carwash yesterday 1 week after buying my X5 and all the sudden all of the windows fog up and hot air is coming out of all the vents. after I got out I was leaving and the car chimed and the display said car is overheating drive at higher speeds to cool it down. Then after that it said the engine overheated and to pull over and turn it off. Also it was in limp mode.

I don't think the aux fan is turning on. If I drive at a good speed the temperature of the engine drops. if I let the car sit idling with the A/C on the fan never turns on and the car heats up, I don't let the temp go above 105C before I turn it off. Does the fan have a fuse or relay?

Thank You!!,
Tyler
