X5 LCI Exhaust Tips

Hello Forum!

Recently I have been looking into swapping out the stock exhaust tips for either 4" in round tips or the oval ones that the 50i brings. I am leaning more towards the oval tips. I found the trim piece part number which I am sure I can pickup for $40 or so, but now I am looking for the tips.

Seems the OEM tips and trim ranges from $350 to $550 which is just a RIPOFF for tips. So I am looking to take another route.

I found this seller on ebay and wanted to get some feedback from anyone.

Stainless Steel O Style Tail Exhaust Tips Muffler Fit for BMW x5 E70 07 09 1pair | eBay

Thanks!

NEVERMIND, I just checked the rear bumper the oval tips will never fit. Now I am on the hunt for 4'' inch tips.

Hmm, I've looked on my Pre-LCI M-sport and some have been able to cut it and then put the tips in. I'm curious about this..

i used the trim rings and added quad tips.
cutting that area in the bumper was quite interesting due to the concave area.
the ebay link you posted, the first picture is of the OEM retro kit, the actual tips that person is selling are oval NOT trapazoidal like OEM.

I have a few styles available...

I have these 3 sets available. They must be welded on. You may need to cut your bumper (except for the OEM 50i stainless tips). My muffler shop did it really easily and the cut is not noticeable (plastic bumper).

$110 each plus shipping in the US. paypal is preferred. shipping to verified paypal address.

I see you're upgrading a lot of items on your X5 that came standard on the M Sport and/or 50i - bigger wheels, fender arches, M sport steering wheel, these exhaust tips… Just wondering if you ever considered buying a Sport or M Sport to begin with?
