TPM Malfunction.

Hello All
After getting winter tires installed,

When I start the car, the TPM warning light blinks, then the bottom of the idrive screen says TPM Malfunction.
Eventually the TPM malfunction light stays solid amber in the dash. Car has all 4 TPM sensors in the wheels.

When I go to reset TPM in iDrive the TPM menu, its say TPM resetting for a very long time and and then TPM malfunction messages come back.

Tire pressure is good, only different from summer tires is winter tires are one size smaller

Summer 255/50/19
Winter 255/55/18

Any ideas?

This happened to me. Turned out to be a malfunctioning sensor. The batteries run down. The sensors are the originals on my 2012 X5M. Had an INDY shop diagnose the problem. Bought the sensor at the dealer and had the tire shop install. Took care of the problem.
