Independent in Marrietta/Kennesaw GA
I need a rear wheel wheel bearing replaced and some diagnostics on a non operable rear liftgate (seems like a bad sensor or latch). I am a bit new to the area and need some advice. A Internet search identified Southern Imports in kennesaw and multiple shops in Marrietta. It would be nice to have some insights before picking one. Thanks in advance DJ 2008 X5 3.0si (roughly 100k miles) |

BMW Service Kennasaw, Ga - BMW Repairs Kennasaw, Ga
They have locations in Kennesaw and Roswell. It's a group comprised of master tech's from the various Atlanta dealerships that decided they wanted to go indie. They do factory-level service at a lower cost. Check them out for yourself, their facilities are top notch and I've had good experiences with them. They swapped a trailer hitch from an outgoing X5 to the new one and installed a brake controller for me. Even reprogrammed the computer so they have all the factory computers/equipment. |

Ok, dropped the vehicle off at Bimmers Service Center in Kennesaw. As suspected the rear driver side wheel bearing is making a lot of road noise. Indicated passenger side was a bit noisy as well. Basically $740 to replace both. They diagnosed the liftgate as the driver side lift mechanism but recommended both be replaced. They are expensive. Quote was over $1k.
Also had some oil leaks diagnosed which I asked them to look at. Indicated a oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket and possibly the oil pan gasket. I decided to hold off on these and may look into the possibility of repairing myself. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk |
