Air suspension
If i open a drivers door i can hear a compressor go off and It inflates the suspension to the normal level. Why does it do it? Seems like opening the door wakes the x5 Up and it remembers to inflate itself. |

One of your airbags has a slow leak caused by wear or dry rot. You do not want to have these fail on the road. I replace both sides myself on my '07 4.8 Sport (90K miles w/ 3rd row seat). Order two new Continental units from Arnott Industries and they can be replaced in less than an hour if you have access to a lift.
