hi/low converter install
Hi everybody. I just joined the forum a bit ago. I have been using the search function and reading up on the x5's. I just picked up a black 2008 x5 4.8i. with 65k a few weeks ago.
I am in the process of my first mod...installing subs. I have the positive and negative connections run and the remote wire run. I however am having a difficult time figure out where to splice into for the high low converter. I think its behind the removable panel that has the amp behind it...but I need some instruction. (picture attached) I apologize as I know this has been covered on a couple different threads but I cant seem to figure out exactly where to splice into... also, if your curious I am installing two eclipse sw7000 10 inch subs, two xa1000 amps inside a ported box and a 5 farad cap. |

I did some other research and found a thread that discussed BMW hifi amp and wire colors. I decided to tap into the front left and rights speakers and install the hi low converter off of those signals.
...it didnt work. I have no signal. anybody have any ideas? |
