E70 35d Power liftgate question.

Greetings guys!

So my powerliftgate finally stopped working. Already checked minor possible causes including slamming the lower gate to no avail. The red open/close button is not lit but when pressed it still activates (clicks) the latch. The 2 liftgate fuse are both good, unless there's another one I do not know I missed researching online.
Does this mean the power struts (spindles) need to be replaced? And if it is, is there a novice way to figure out which side?

Just take one off or both and you will know it which one does not work. May be one is dry.

Thanks man. There seem to be no power like a hint of motor noise at all on both. This issue on top of the SCR issue. Every other month there's something new, never ends but still keeping it. Lol
