Help me identify a part.

Hi, I have a 2008 E70. Looking into changing plugs and Ignition coils. Took the plastic cover off. I found a small piece of plastic in one of the crevices between the #5 and # 6 ignition pack. Looks like a broken tube with a plastic cap that move a little, like a vent of some sort. There is a round cover on that end that looks like this vent broke from. Anyone knows what this might be? Will try to take a picture and post it.

Thanks

I found a part# for the little cap. 11617547229 Covering Cap. But the diagram does not show what it caps!

Thanks Seattle, I think I found what it is. Look at the new picture of the valve cover I attached. Looks like a nipple to that round part of the cover. It is hollow so I'm guessing some sort of vent. I guess the question is can it be replaced without the whole cover and what is it's purpose? Anyone?

Thanks

Victor
