Did you spill a coffee or soda from the cup holders before this happened? Does the menu come up when you hit the menu button?

some have reported that cleaning the switch with contact cleaner can help. But you need to virtually remove the switch entirely.

If cleaning the contacts doesn't solve the problem, you need a new one. Been there, done that.
