Valve Cover Broke, Replace?

During the VCG replacement process, I was taking the spark plugs out, which seem to be ceased. The wrench slipped and broke a piece off the side wall of the spark plug.

Do I need to replace the VC? With the boot fitting on top of the plug, etc.. I wasnt sure. Obviously, 450$ isnt something I was wanting to pay for, but I guess I learned a DIY lesson.

Thanks in advance.

I'd leave it as it is. I dont think this piece missing will affect anything, nor it is visible.

You made my day and saved me some money. Putting it back together and this car is getting traded in. Thanks for your quick replies yesterday and today, you've been invaluable.

Maybe let the community know where you trade it. ie post the VIN.
