Flaoty Sdrive - is it the tires or the 2WD?

I purchased a 2014 sdrive35i from Carvana, delivered this weekend. Beautiful car, great options - space gray on black with m sport 19"

They put these Hercules Tera track V rated tires, and the car handles like garbage. I am coming from a 2012 X5 Xdrive35

I only have a couple of days before I have to give the car back if I decide not to keep it and honestly I am shocked at how 'Cadillac-esc' the handling is and I'm trying to access is it because of the new tires? or the Sdrive?

Anyone have an Sdrive car Msport that can share experience of the handling dynamics? I expected I would be losing out on offroad ability but didn't expect it to handle like this...any thoughts, advice, experience appreciated.
