Tire replacement 19s

Its time to replace my Pirelli run flats on my 35dmsport. They are size 19’s.
What guys did you replace them with? Any pros or cons going with the same setup?
Thank you.
Val

A 1000 options... :)

Tires are a very personal choice and perhaps you first need to decide if you want to stick with run flats. After that is the choice of all-season or summer HP. If you run winter tires during the cold months you can go with a summer HP. If not, you may want to get all-season tires. Conversely, some of my cars are on winter tires all year long.

The OE tires are usually a compromise between many aspects that make up the character of a tire. So, if you are happy with that, the existing set-up maybe fine. If you have some other priorities you may want to find a different solution. Whatever your choices are, read the reviews on Tirerack and other websites for any particular tire and you'll get a feel for how a tire works out in real life.

To give you an idea, my E53 ran all summer on 18" Dunlop winters and is going on to a fresh set of 19" Pirelli winters in about two months. The E70 is on 19" Michelin Latitude Tours (pretty much done now). The Cayenne is on a set of 20" DWS, I took off the 20" Blizzaks that it came with. I tend to go with certain brands and models I like, but then find a good deal to drive the final choice.

For my E53 summer Michelin Latitude Sport 3, 19”; winter Nokian Weatherproof SUV (which are actually all-season tyres) 17”.
For the F15 summer Continental Sport Contact 5, 19”; winter Pirelli Scorpion Winter, 18”.
I need to replace the F15 summers and will stick to the Contis.
If I were to change to none run flat (insurance currently forbids) I’d definitely go to Latitude Sport 3 - in my experience it’s a really good tyre.
As TriX5 says, it’s a very personal choice.
