35i exhaust

Anyone know when the right side exhaust tail pipe opens up ? I took delivery at PCD 1/14 and had not driven it much after arriving home, then yesterday i notice nothing coming out of right side pipe and its still cold even after driving for 12 miles. We had 28 degree weather around here.

It opens up as soon as the car warms up.

I had driven it more than 20 miles and the exhaust tips still cold. I read conflicting info from other forums, pretty much says if driven hard and fully warmed up before right exhaust pipe opens. Some said it can be coded to be always open but i don't have any plans to do that if no other known benefit other than sound.

No, the right exhaust opens up after a certain RPM is reached. Not when it is warmed up. I want to say the rpm is 3,000.

Not sure. The exhaust opening is electronically controlled now.
