Pulled the trigger
My toughest decision was picking the exterior color -- none of the choices really got me excited (my current ride is Vermillion Red). I kind of liked Carbon Black, but I'm not getting the sport package, and that's a sport package only color. Production is scheduled for the first week of March, so I should have it by the end of March. The excitement is building!

why glad got my E70. Don't like any of the colors offered for 2014.
If had to pick guess would be that Ugly brown because want the mocha interior. But dang, spend that much and not get a color want. ?? had a deal like some BMW's and pay extra for a color |

Just checked the website, and mine went into production today. Woo hoo! The excitement is building . . .
I have a couple of things that I bought for the E70 that won't work with the F15 -- my JBD, for example. I figure I can sell them. But does anyone know if the the wood shift 'knob' will fit on the new model? Both my current X5 and new one have poplar wood interiors, so I'd like to transfer it over if I can, but I can't find any part numbers online to verify.

I'm thinking about trading my 11 Xdrive 5.0 in, what do you think i could expect to receive (generally) for trade in value? I am nt asking for a specific dollar - I mean - did you get NADA "low trade in", "medium trade in" or "high trade in"? Or, if using KBB, did you receive trade in value or did you do a little better? If I use KBB trade in value my car is $37,500. If I use NADA "Excellent" trade-in value it is all the way up tp $41k. Mine is heavily equipped sports package, adaptive drive, etc.
BTW, I really liked the two F15 35Ds that I drove - I thought they were quite a bit nicer than the E70 35Ds I had driven a couple years ago - better acceleration with the 8 speed, and a little tighter handling too. Very quiet at 80MPH as well. The interior is very good. Cheers and best of luck with the new one! Quote:

I got what would be low trade-in value, by both KBB and NADA websites, but then I had a small accident that affected trade-in, plus I got such a good negotiated price on the new vehicle ($1000 under wholesale), I didn't mind so much taking a relatively lowball offer on my trade.

I was ready to order a new F15 trading in my 2011 until I saw the limited colors available and no active seats (I do a lot of highway travel). Based on the "Build Your Own" option on the website and the dealer's input I thought there was no option for the adjustable second row of seats with the third row seats, however, BMWNA told me that the adjustible second row seats are standard with the third row. While this helps I'll still wait to see if the 2015 model has active seats and if the color choices improve.
