White looks best so far IMO. Much better with running boards.... now where is that aero-kit?
Thanks for sharing.

Using mine (and my sons') crap photoshop skills we created a montage of wheel options. I think that the 214 Y-Spoke wheels better balance the weight of the bodyshell, so will change my order to suit.

IMO, and I'm way bias, at least white looks good especially if you tinted the glass DARK. It looks good right up until the second door..then it is all down hill from there.....

Kinda like the "shoe" design of the early Z3 coupe.

Side note: is the guy standing next to the red one 5' tall?? Or is the X6 rocking 3' rims?

White X6 does look the best so far especially front end but I'm with Waggy as far as the rear half is concerned. As for wheels, my favorite is the top right, not sure what style number that is.

No, I'm going to go with those Style 214 Y-spoke wheels in 20" (£895 factory option).

I had a look into the 21" wheels and you can buy just the wheels for £2130 incl Vat (£460+vat (R) and $450+vat (F). Then I had a look at buying tyres and could not find anywhere. I assume that means the default route would be to buy from the BMW dealer, but since I buy tyres at a fraction of the retail price that's not what I would prefer. Maybe I could eventually find a retailer who could supply at a better price, but they're bound to be pricey considering they are in a unique BMW size.

Anyway, the difficulty in obtaining 21" tyres has put me off, the 20s have been around for many years now and are available in many different brands.

So you prefer the look of the 'Y' spoke then....?

I think they will be a bugger to keep clean tbh, and i have a feeling this baby is going to kick out some serious brake dust, considering larger brakes, and higher performance.......my X5 wheels are black after 5 mins driving already, this X6 is going to brake my back !!!!

What happened to the ceramic option ????

When I order a car and have time to kill I end up exploring every little minutia of my decision and then changing my decision a dozen more times. I like to make sure my salesman really works for his commission.

I keep worrying that the 5-spoke Style 259 wheels look too simple and might be mistaken for any other 5-spoke wheel design of which there is many available for the X5/X6 in 18" and 19" sizes.

One thing I've always thought about the Y-spoke design is that they always looks big and out of the ordinary. Also from my crude photoshop I get the feeling that the heavier look of the Y-spokes may suit the large X6, where a more elegant wheel might look like a muscleman with skinny legs. I don't know, but at least I could sell those Y-spokes fairly easily if I decided to replace them at a later date.

Not sure about ceramics, or even a performance caliper upgrade. BMW are launching a 'Performance Tuning' line later this year so maybe these may be available (rather like a BMW Individual service) in the near future.
